World Book Day 2021

A little Lockdown didn’t stop the staff and children at Milton Primary celebrating World Book Day. The children (and staff) were invited to dress as their favourite book character and enjoyed a day taking part in activities to encourage a celebration of reading.

Primary 1/2/3 enjoyed some time outdoors in a story circle.

Primary 3/4/5 were tasked with a creativity challenge – turning a potato into a book character. They come complete with labels but I bet you guessed who lots of them were before seeing the label.

The staff got into the Book Day spirit too. Unfortunately we missed the opportunity to photograph some of the fantastic costumes.

It was lovely to see the children at home get involved too. A huge thank you to everyone for sending in some photographs of what they got up to.
