A huge Thank You to Ceri and her team from Tesco who have kindly donated Easter Eggs for every child in our nursery and school. We are very lucky. Thank You! 🐣

A wee update of what we have been getting up to in the Nursery over the last week…
Our construction tuff tray…
What fun we are all having in the snow today. ❄️🌨 The boys and girls have been very creative and made a funky snowman.
Milton Woodlands – I have just been made aware of a post that has been shared today on the ‘Milton Woodlands’ Facebook that I wanted to share in case you weren’t aware. – “Disappointed and frustrated today. We spent time and effort to get new trees for the woodland and to have them planted. Unfortunately last night unknown individuals decided to either uproot some of the new saplings, effectively killing them off, breaking them in two or removed the covers and the support canes and in some cases snap the canes. Please please please stop these people from us progressing the woodlands and getting new regeneration. We all need to stand together and get this stopped. Many thanks for your continued support.”
This is devastating for the future of our woodlands. It would be great if you could have a chat with your child about this however I am hopeful it is none of our children.
A huge Thank You to our Parent Council who have funded the hoodies for our P7 leavers. They love them and are absolutely delighted. Thank You!

International Space Station
P345 have been learning about Space as part of their topic.
To start, the children were tasked with creating a panel for the space station for Technology using a range of joining techniques (rather than a whole roll of sellotape.)
An invite then went out to parents so that we could surprise the children.
On Friday night and Saturday Ms Brewer worked very hard to transform the area. Thank you so much to all the family who came to help.
This morning, the look on the children’s faces was amazing, they were so happy! They have been enjoying playing/creating and using their imagination to pretend they are in Space.
The end result is incredible…
A tinkering station to fix things!
5,4,3,2,1 BLAST OFF
We have been busy bees in the Nursery over the last couple of weeks. The children have loved learning about Chinese New Year.
The children love their weekly woods visits.
We are very lucky, Ms Brewer the P345 teacher comes down every Wednesday afternoon to work with us, she is a numeracy expert and does different activities with us. This week we learnt ‘5 little speckled frogs.’
The children went on a community walk and stopped to buy things at the shop.
On Friday afternoon we invited parents in to the school to be creative and make decorations for our canteen for Christmas. What a buzz was in the School. It was VERY well attended and we were all busy bees. Thank you to everyone for making it such a productive and enjoyable afternoon.
People Who Help Us
Primary 123 have been learning about people who help us.
Today we were lucky enough to have the Fire Brigade visit us. They told us all about their jobs, let us try on their uniform and even let us explore a fire engine!
It has been a busy week here at Milton, we have taken 2 teams out to sporting events.
The first outing was on Tuesday where we took a group of children from P4-7 to the first of the Running Series Events in Inver. They ran very well and thoroughly enjoyed it. They were a dream to take out. On Tuesday they will go to Alness to take part in Event 2.
On Thursday we took our Swim Team to take part in the Ross Shire Sports Association Swimming Gala. Milton were in Group C and came 2nd overall. They were a credit to the school and did amazing – we are so proud. It was so good to see the return of the Gala after 3 years due to Covid.
