Yesterday afternoon the girls in P3/4/5, Mrs Christie and Mrs MacDonald took a walk down the Woods as it was such a lovely afternoon. We were saddened to see a LOT of rubbish had been left at the area we play in, we suspect, following the sledging fun which has occurred in the last fortnight.
Today we returned to the woods equipped with litter pickers and bin bags to clear as much as we could in the short time we had. Miss Crew and Mrs Sutherland were also recruited. We couldn’t believe what we collected! Items included: lots of plastic bottles (which could’ve been safely recycled), bags of suspected dog’s mess, a hoover, several broken sledges, two bike wheels, a scooter, glass bottles – the list could go on.
The girls did a tremendous job this afternoon and were very proud of themselves for making such a positive contribution to the Milton community. Thank you girls!
