Hello Everyone.
As I am sure you will have noticed the teachers and other adults in school have been keeping themselves busy completing some little challenges. First we made a video to send you a very special message and then we took on the task of passing a piece of fruit between us all!
This time we would like you to get involved. All the adults in the school have been given the same task: Take a Picture of yourself reading in a strange / unusual place. This could be somewhere in your house or on your daily walk. It is entirely up to you so get creative.
Once you have taken your picture please email it to carolyn.robinson@tainroyalacademy.net and I will collate all the photos to make a special video. Please send any pictures to me by Friday 22nd May.
I can’t wait to see where you end up!
Thank You
Miss Robinson
Traditionally at Milton P.S, Friday means Fruity Friday. We ask all children to do their best to bring a piece of fruit for snack and receive some extra house points.
This week, the staff were challenged (courtesy of Miss O’Brien) to a ‘Fruity Friday’ with a bit of a difference. We hope this puts a wee smile on their faces! We certainly found it very entertaining…
Good Morning Everyone,
Wishing you all a very Happy Friday.
All Milton Primary and Nursery Staff met yesterday, it was lovely to see everyone for a ‘virtual’ tea break. We took the time to discuss what is going well for home learning and what we need to make a little clearer. From this discussion, I’ve done my best to summarise our expectations below.
But first, a huge well done to everyone who is successfully engaging with the home learning experiences we are providing. We really do mean it when we say we like seeing what the children are getting up to. Mrs Sinclair also shared she has been keeping up to date with the class blogs which is lovely to hear.

Good Morning everyone,
I hope you’re all having a good week so far.
I thought I was so clever and scheduled Monday’s little challenges to be posted, however, as pointed out to me they have not appeared. So here they are now:

Remember to send us any photographs of your children taking part. We love to see what they’re getting up to!
Have a good day 😊
Primary 6/7 were set this task today! I’ve really enjoyed reading through their responses so I thought I’d share some on here too. There were lots of excellent examples so I have just shared a sample of the ones that were handed in to me.
I am very thankful to my teacher friend Mrs Orr for sharing this template with me. I think they look lovely.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is a holiday. Have a break from school work and enjoy some fun in the sunshine. We’ll see you bright and early on Monday morning. ☀️
Apologies for the post regarding the Mercat Centre yesterday. There was a miscommunication. Please speak to the staff at the centre for information regarding the services provided. Thank you.
Please click the link below to take part in our parent survey. We really value your views. Thank you.
Good Evening everyone,
I am delighted to show you some examples of excellent work that have been shared with me so far this week.
First up is Cameron and Finlay who have been making the most of the sun re-appearing by making bike trails in the garden. Each trail has different features and the boys cleverly name them after things depending on these features. The latest is called “The Four Spring Lambs” We’ve also heard that they’ve been very helpful looking after the pet lambs. They’ve got 5 now! This is a huge responsibility so well done boys for getting involved and thank you for sharing your learning with us!
The next images come from some Primary 6/7 pupils who have been using our “Edinburgh Zoo” topic grid to produce some wonderful posters. They shared them on their Google classroom but we think they are fantastic!

Please keep the images coming, it’s great to see what you’ve all been up to.
