Please find a letter below from our Head of Education – Nicky Grant.
Please open the attachment below to read a summary of what school may look like for your child in August. Thank you for your patience with this, I have waited until I had the most up to date information to provide you with. Best wishes, S.Callander and the Milton P.S. team.
Due to the possibility of full classes being present in August, your child’s new class teacher will be in touch, via email, next week with details.
School Chromebooks
As the end of term approaches we will need all Chromebooks returned to the school for the holiday period. The Chromebooks belong to the school and are assigned to the children.
Primary 7s – you will be given Chromebooks when you move on to the secondary.
Miss Crew and I will be collecting Chromebooks next Wednesday 1st July between 9.30-11.30 . We’d prefer if you were able to drop it off and not your child. Please observe social distancing, Miss Crew and I will mark out the pavement to allow for this.
If you are not able to attend school on this day, please e-mail a member of school staff and we will do our best to arrange another day for you to drop it off. I am sure you’ll understand we are not in a position to collect all the Chromebooks from you so we’d really appreciate your assistance with this.
Information for P7 Parents
Invergordon Academy are hosting a Virtual Assembly tomorrow (Thursday 11th June). The link to the assembly will be posted on The Google Classroom for new S1 Pupils which your child has already been invited to join.
The Assembly will be repeated on Friday 12th June at 10.00am if this is more convenient for you and your family.
We’d really appreciate as many Primary 7 parents & pupils attending as possible.

Health & Wellbeing Challenges
Hello Everyone,
As you know May/June are usually our most active months at Milton Primary School. We have Sports Day, Health Week and usually lots of other opportunities to get out on trips and outings to support our Health and Wellbeing learning.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, we will be denied lots of these opportunities but the staff at Milton Primary and Nursery have been getting their thinking caps on and we have a little Health and Wellbeing Challenge for you all to take part in throughout the month of June.
Life after ‘Lockdown’
Start a little jar in your house called ‘Life after Lockdown’. Each school day in June encourage your child to add something to it that they’d really like to do when we have a bit more freedom. Staff will also be sharing theirs to give you some ideas.
5KM a Week
We know lots of you have been getting out and about during lockdown. It’s great that we can now exercise more than once a day.We challenge all children at Milton Primary School and Nursery to run, walk or cycle 5KM a week (That’s only 1KM a day). Please prove your child has done so by sending a screenshot of your fit bit record, phone step counter, strava etc to Mrs Martin. If you don’t have any of these devices/apps available just send an e-mail to Mrs Martin to let her know your child has taken part. We hope to be able to reward every child who takes part with something – all will be revealed.Email address: ann.martin@invergordonacademy.org.uk
‘In House Challenges’
Each week in June, we will post five Health and Wellbeing challenges (that’s only one a day), along with accompanying demonstration videos/photos (if appropriate), to the blog for all families to take part in. The idea is that we keep children active and get all families involved while having a bit of fun. You should encourage a friendly competition in your house but not all are competitive. Please send some photographs to Mrs Christie – Joanna.christie@invergordonacademy.org.uk – if you are able.Class teachers will not be providing any additional Health and Wellbeing tasks during the month of June to allow the children to dedicate their time to these challenges.
Good Luck, I look forward to sharing your good work.
Stay Active Challenge – Week 1 (2)
