Why do we love gym?Β

Physical activity contributes to the healthy functioning of the body and mind and is a key feature of a healthy lifestyle. Children who exercise regularly from an early age form good habits and are more likely to continue exercising into adulthood.
Appropriate, safe and enjoyable physical activity and exercise has a positive impact on physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing.

Kit-Please remember you PE kit, good fitting gym shoes are a really important part of our school uniform. It is important to get changed into shorts and t-shirts for gym so we can perform to our best possible standard in every lesson.

Nearly there…

Only 1 more school day left boys and girls before you can enjoy a well deserved rest. Another busy day at Milton with our end of term assembly.

Congratulations to all of the children who received Homework Awards for their Children of the World Homework efforts. Also a huge well done for the lovely musical talent displayed this afternoon and to Ruby for being closest to guessing Bob the minion’s birthday.

All of the children should have received a lovely Christmas Eve Hot Chocolate Reindeer from all of the adults at Milton Primary along with a candy cane ‘stirrer’ to stir and enjoy afterwards. Merry Christmas everyone πŸŽ…πŸ»πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸ».

Primary 1/2 had a very busy day making gifts too- check our blog for more information about our day 😊.

Extra Photos πŸ“Έ

Mrs Sinclair also took some great photos on Friday. The house captains enjoyed a day off dinner duty and sipped their orange juice from fancy champagne flutes. Christmas Dinner got the thumbs up from Primaries 3/4 and 5/6/7 πŸ‘πŸ»

Don’t forget to join us for our end of term assembly tomorrow at 2.00pm in the school hall.

Bob’s birthday will be getting drawn then too, so if you haven’t already, bring along 50p to guess his Birthday for your chance to win him.

Friday 18th DecemberΒ

Another busy festive day at Milton Primary School today. Lots of pupils wore their festive jumpers for our Christmas Jumper Day- don’t forget to Text Santa.

We enjoyed a beautiful Christmas dinner cooked by Mairi. A huge thank you to Mairi, Claire and Mrs Sutherland for serving the dinner and to all of the other adults for waiting on the pupils today. There were certainly some very happy customers- teachers and pupils alike πŸ˜‹.

We had a lovely visit from Mr Stewart and Mr Macaskill this afternoon too. Mr Macaskill brought a big Santa sack and the children enjoyed discovering and unwrapping the various items he had brought with him to retell the traditional  Christmas story along with Mr Stewart.

Christmas at Milton

The school show raised a whopping Β£447.56 ! Amazing!! πŸ˜€A big thank you to everyone who donated to the raffle and supported the show.

The Nursery were fantastic on stage today, we loved their performance, all the boys and girls from the school really enjoyed their singing. The raffle was a great success too – money raised will be counted on Monday!

Well done to the Nursery children and of course to Mrs Forth & Miss McClymont.

Children of Milton

I think we can all agree that all of the children at Milton are “…real little stars,” a huge well done to everyone today and tonight. Everyone who was able to attend left with a huge smile on their faces 😊 Now for our thank yous…

First- a huge thank you and well done to the children who have worked so hard this term to learn song words, speaking parts, stage direction and actions- a huge pat on the back to you.

Secondly, to the parents- for your continued support, attendance today/tonight and your raffle ticket purchases. I have no doubt Mrs Nimmons and Mrs Sinclair will let us know the grand total raised for the school fund in due course. A special thank you must also go to the parents who provided refreshments at both shows.

To Mr Maclean- the pianist- you were fantastic and we hope you enjoy your gift over the coming festive season. Live music made our show even more special.

Finally, to the school staff who have worked so hard to support the children in all aspects of the show- from stage direction and singing practise to costumes and face paints!

Hopefully everyone is feeling in the Christmas spirit now- don’t forget your Christmas jumpers tomorrow and it’s Christmas Lunch Day πŸŽ…πŸ»πŸŽ„πŸ—
