Hello everyone!

A little plea from our lovely Parent Council ahead of their fundraiser on Thursday. They’d really appreciate any baking and/or prize donations you may be able to give. Please pop them into the school office and we will happily pass them on to the Parent Council for you.

It’s set to be a fantastic family night. We hope to see lots of you there supporting this fantastic event.

Also, please hand in any Christmas Card orders to the school office ASAP. Orders were due today but we are able to give a little extension. Please spread the word for us so we get our order in plenty of time for Christmas.

• If you’d like to order a pack of your child’s Christmas cards or gift tags – please ensure the order form and full payment is returned to the school office by Monday 5th November. 
• We are still waiting for some final Pantomime Payments to reach us. If you have not already made full payment of your child’s pantomime fee, please get this to us ASAP.
• Your child should receive a note telling them about the Family Game Night next Thursday 8th November. This event will take place in the Mercat Centre from 6.00-7.30pm. The cost of the event is £3 per adult and £2 per child which includes 5 games of Bingo and entry in a Grand Prize Draw. Everyone and all ages are invited but children must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments will also be on sale. We hope to see lots of you there 🙂
• All children who were present at school today should receive their photograph proof today. Hopefully we have managed to capture all siblings and individuals. If you have not received a photograph home of your child then please contact the school office ASAP. You have 7 working days to return your photograph order form and correct payment (no change will be given). This means all orders should reach us by end of day on Friday 9th November.

If you’d like your younger child (not in Nursery) to be photographed, please report to the school office for 9.15am.

Don’t forget your costumes for Halloween today! We have some fun planned for this afternoon.

Your child will also be vaccinated against flu today if you have returned their permission slip.

There will be NO after-school football today. More information will follow about when this club will resume.

Welcome back to Term 2! It was lovely to see all of the children back and raring to go this morning although I suspect there will be a few tired eyes tonight – including the teachers.

A couple of reminders for the week ahead:

• After-school Clubs start back this week. You do not require to sign a new permission slip unless your child has never attended the club before. If your child would like to attend a club – you must sign a permission slip.
• The library van will visit school tomorrow (Tuesday 30th October) – please ensure your child brings in any books they have previously borrowed to enable them to continue using this fantastic service.
• Children all welcome to come to school in costume this Wednesday 31st October. Mrs Sinclair has a fun Halloween afternoon planned for all classes.
• Please ensure you have paid your child’s pantomime trip in full by Thursday 1st November at the very latest. This is the final day for payment.
• School photographs will take place this Friday 2nd November for Nursery – Primary 7. If you wish to have a younger sibling who is not in Nursery photographed – please report to the school office at 9.15am.
• Your child should’ve taken home their Christmas Card design tonight (If not, this should come tomorrow). Please can we ask for all orders including full payment to reach us by Monday 5th November. Your order must include the correct money – Mrs Nimmons is not able to give change. Please ensure you have checked the spelling of your child(ren’s) names carefully and use the amendment section to correct any mistakes. 

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying the holidays. During the first week of term the calendar of events for the term ahead will be sent home.

During the first week back there are a few things that we wanted to let you know about:

Wednesday 31st October – The children are all welcome to come into school in fancy dress, there will be some spooky fun for all during the afternoon.

Friday 2nd November – Tempest Photography will be in school, please come to the school office for 9.15am if you have any younger (non nursery/school age) children that you would like included in the family photographs.

After School Clubs – All clubs will restart during the first week back after the holidays. There will be no new slips issued unless your child has never attended the club before. Clubs will run weekly until Friday 7th December.

Good Morning all,

Please send in your child’s sponsor money today to enable us to bank it before the holidays. A huge thank you to everyone who has already done this. We really appreciate your support.

Hello everyone,

Just to remind you all that the infant disco will be happening between 4.30pm-5.30pm. The P4-7 disco will run from 5.45pm-6.45pm.

Once again, apologies for the change of date this was outwith our control.

Juice and crisps will be available for everyone. We will have a small tuck shop for the children – all items will be 20p.

If anyone has any empty shoeboxes the please drop them off at the school as Blythswood are running short this year.

Please feel free to drop any empty boxes off at the school and they will be delivered to the Evanton depot.

A huge thank you to everyone that has already donated food to the Foodbank appeal. Your support will really help to make a difference.

We have decided that this year we will not formally participate in the shoebox appeal at Milton but if anyone would like to fill a box we will happily accept donations and drop them off in Evanton.
