Miss Ross has been super busy over the last few weeks! She planned a beautiful wall mural to include our school aim with some Primary 4/5’s. The results are amazing. Every child has now printed their hand onto the wall to complete the display. Pop in and have a look. Well done and thank you Miss Ross! #bethebestyoucanbe

Head Lice
βHead Lice are a common problem in school aged children.Β They canβt be prevented, but regular checking ensures early detection and treatment if necessary.Β Parents and carers should check their childrenβs head once a week during hair washing.Β You need your usual shampoo, conditioner, and a detection comb β ask your local pharmacist to recommend a suitable one.Β Remember that you are looking for living moving lice, the only evidence that your child is infected.
If you find a living louse, ask your local pharmacist, school nurse, health visitor or GP for advice regarding treatment.β
Car Park Safety
Our Junior Road Safety Officers had a request from a parent a few weeks ago. The request was around changing the times that our flashing lights are active to warn drivers that there may be children out around the car park. The JRSO’s have contacted the traffic department and our school lights should now flash at the following times:
8.30 β 9.15 When children are coming into school / nursery
11.45-12.15 When nursery children are leaving
12.30-1.15 When children are coming to or from school for lunch
2.45-3.15 At the end of the school day
Car Park Safety
All pedestrians should use the pavement, there has been several incidents reported this week where Nursery and infant pupils are walking across the car park. Please help us to set a good example by sticking to the safest route (the pavement).
Sensible Parking Β
Cars should only be parked in a parking bay. There have been several complaints about parents dropping off children in the middle of the car park. Not only is this putting the child’s safety at risk but it also causing the main entrance to the school to be blocked. Delivery drivers need access to the front door, it should not be blocked. Stick to the parking bays please. The local police liaison officer has offered to patrol our car park during the morning drop off times but we have assured him that we can address this issue without his support at the moment.
Christmas Jumper Day
A Nativity with a Twist
A whopping Β£598 was raised at the school show this year. This was through ticket sales, programme sales and the raffle.
Thank you for your support and generosity. The money will be used to top up our school fund. The children will be involved in planning what they would like to purchase next session.
Thank you to the parent council for providing tea/coffee and delicious mince pies!

A Nativity with a Twist!
*Proud Headteacher Post*
Good morning all, what an amazing show yesterday afternoon and last night. It was so lovely to look around the hall and see so many smiling faces yesterday. Pupils, parents and staff all beaming with pride! Boys and girls you really did yourselves proud, you proved us all wrong and pulled off what I believe was the best show of all time!
The best show because Primary 6/7 created it and performed it to perfection. The boys and girls from across the school really shone on stage. A huge well done to everyone for making this Christmas truly memorable.
I am glad Mairi and Joe managed to safely return to Milton and spend Christmas with their family. I don’t think they could ask to spend Christmas Day in a more caring and compassionate community.
Pictures of the show to follow and we will let you know how much money has been raised to support school funds later today.
Thank you and very well done Milton!
Now, let’s enjoy a delicious and well earned Christmas lunch today!
