Good Afternoon,
First I’d like to thank you all for your patience and understanding this week while we’ve been trying to deal with the Corona Virus pandemic. The children have been very resilient and coped with changes to school staff and ‘normal’ school routine exceptionally well.
Today, we will be sending the following items home with the children:
- A device (if you have made us aware that you require one)
- A jotter to record some of your work
- A stationery pack
- P4-7 will have a home reader
- AN ENVELOPE – IMPORTANT this contains your child’s usernames and passwords to online learning materials. Primary 1s and their siblings are stuck into the Primary 1 pupil’s diaries.
Next week, class teachers will communicate with you via the school blog and Google Classroom (P4-7). It is ESSENTIAL that you interact with the posts as Class Teachers are still required to report on pupil absence. If you do not have internet access or a device available to access the internet at home, you MUST GET IN TOUCH as advised yesterday.
A work schedule will be posted daily for your child. Please support them to complete the tasks set and feedback to your child’s class teacher by commenting on the blog (p1-3’s parents/guardians) or replying to posts on Google classroom (P4-7 children). For now, the tasks will be short, fun, generic tasks to allow time for children and staff to adapt to this new way of working.
At this stage, we are unsure how long the schools will be closed for. We will do our best to ensure your child is able to progress in their learning but it is ESSENTIAL that you support us with this.
In the mean time, if you have any questions or comments, please e-mail class teachers:
Miss Robinson – carolyn.robinson@tainroyalacademy.net
Ms O’Shea – aine.o’shea@invergordonacademy.org.uk

Miss Crew – abbie.crew@invergordonacademy.org.uk

Teachers will only respond to educational queries between the hours of 9am – 3pm, Monday – Friday during term time and that all other issues, outwith the classwork set for your pupil should be directed to Highland Council as indicated in the Chief Executive’s statement.
If you require any support accessing google classroom i.e. you’ve forgotten your password, please get in touch with Mrs Martin.
From all staff at Milton, we hope it’s not too long before we see you all again. Please be patient with us as we adapt to a new way of working next week, it’s all very new for us too. In the meantime, take care and stay safe!
A further update will be posted at 5.00pm. Please keep an eye on your e-mail.
