Polar Day

The whole school were treated to a fantastic morning of learning today led by Primary 6/7 and assisted by Ms Brewer. We were lucky enough to have Dr Kevin Worral join us from Glasgow University too. He noted he was very impressed by the pupil’s leadership skills and he has never observed children teach others in this way.

The children moved round 4 stations before break and 4 stations after break to explore what clothes you wear in the arctic, what food you eat, the animals you may see, how to keep warm, the impact of climate change, floating/sinking, food webs and the arctic animal’s features.

The children did a marvellous job of taking the lead and demonstrated excellent skills as they presented to the children.

A huge thank you and well done to you all for such a fantastic day.
