Monday 1st June

Good Evening,

Just a reminder that today, Monday 1st June, is an in-service day for all staff. There will be no learning tasks set on the Blog or Google Classroom and no requirement for you to register your child. We do have a little Health and Wellbeing challenge coming your way though so keep your eyes peeled for that.

I was delighted Lois’ Mum sent me across a little update of her caterpillars. Lois introduced them on the early years blog last week so it’s great to hear how they are getting on. Mrs Martin usually has some caterpillars growing nicely in school during this term so it’s great that Lois is sharing her journey with us.

Primary 6/7 were tasked with creating a lava lamp this week. Peyton got in touch to say she wasn’t able to make a lava lamp but she made these fantastic glitter jars. I think they look great. Maybe she will share how she did it so others can have a go too!

I was delighted to hear so many of you were able to collect your TDT packs from the Mercat Centre last week. Stacey and Mrs Sutherland very kindly offered to take some packs out while following up on some school work tasks. The Mercat is open again today at 12.00pm for you to collect your child’s pack. Please send any photographs of your child using the contents to me on joanna.christie@invergordonacademy.org.uk if you are able. We would love to say a special thank you for TDT from Milton Primary & Nursery.

I was delighted to see these ones of Sami and Martin using theirs. Thank you to their Mum for sharing.

Have a great week everyone, hopefully the sunshine is here to stay!

Inverness Science Festival Car Challenge

Good Morning all,

A lovely post to be writing for a Monday morning. Look at these stars who all took part in the challenge. The children were sent wheels and some parts to make a car out of a box which they had to decorate. There’s even a prize for the best entry! Fingers crossed for Eilidh, Finlay & Abby.

Eilidh made a car for Monty the Monkey.
A police car for Finlay, there’s even a jail at the back!
Barbie looks pleased with her new wheels Abby!
