The North Star came into school last week, keep you eyes open for some Milton news in the paper over the next couple of weeks. The children were sharing their news about our school “Run To Poland” and P5-7 were photographed and interviewed on their technology project (which involves a horse, a witch and a man called Tam-have you guessed the poem yet?).
Primary 5/6/7 were delighted to have a visit from two very special guests on Friday 23rd January. SPL star Tony Dingwall took time out of his busy training schedule to visit Milton Primary along with Head Of Youth at Ross County, Steven Ferguson.
The children heard about their favourite books and were able to share their favourite novels with Tony and Steven. P5-7 asked some superb questions. Riley was really surprised to hear how important maths and language skills are to players, both on and off the pitch!
A huge thank you to Ross County, we really appreciated your visit and are delighted with our books (which Tony even signed). Definitely a Friday to remember!
Thank you Staggies!
Calling all Milton folk…please visit the link below. By completing a few simple steps you could help us be in with a chance of having a school visit from an astronaut. How cool would that be!!! (Thank you for finding this AMAZING opportunity Mrs Martin!)

Football crazy!
Primary 2,3 and 4 enjoyed their first training session with Charlie from Ross County today. They have 5 further weeks of football as part of the Tesco Bank Football Programme. Lots of goals were scored by all teams today, but more importantly everyone displayed a positive attitude on the pitch! Primary 1-7 enjoyed a special Power of Scotland assembly with Edinburgh based Jammin Andy today. This was followed by a dance workshop this afternoon which got everyone moving and grooving. The pupils had a super time and are already looking forward to his next visit. Check out his website for more information.
Our whole school run to Poland has begun! Today we lapped up over 90km as a school, taking us to Aviemore. How far to go now…?!? Primary 5-7 have mapped out our route. We will be recording our laps around the pitch daily and keeping track of our progress. One lap around the pitch is 0.5km. If you would like to help us clock up the kilometres please get in touch. We would love to hear from you!
