The Next Big Step

SO excited for the children to perform The Next Big Step tomorrow for their friends and family.

This year has flown by so quickly and we have less than a week left with our P7’s. I think tomorrow will be an emotional day for many! I am so proud of how well they have all thrown themselves into the play after their transition week at the academy.

The hall will be busy tomorrow, Eden Court have set up lights and sound so can I ask that our audience enters through the side gym door. Children will be gearing up for their big performance in classes.

Could P4-7 come back to school for around 5.30-5.45, the main office door will be open for them to be signed in there.

It’s almost show time!

The Next Big Step

We hope you are all set for the big performance this Friday 28th June. The children have been working their socks off this week with Jonathon, Ines and Amy from Eden Court.

There will be two performances, the first at 1.30 will involve all classes and the evening performance will be just for P4-7. The Primary 7 leaver’s assembly will take place after the show at 6.30pm. If you have already collected your ticket at the office your name will have already been placed into the free prize draw. There will be a small raffle at each of the two shows.

Tickets are available at the door, there is no charge.

Lord-Lieutenant Visits

The Lord-Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty Mrs Janet Bowen who was appointed in April 2007 by HM The Queen visited Milton Primary today.

As Lord-Lieutenant, her first and foremost duty is to uphold the dignity of the Crown. She seeks to encourage a spirit of co-operation in the voluntary services and benevolent organisations, and takes an active interest in the business, industrial and social life of Ross-Shire.

Mrs Bowen awarded Newmore and Milton Primary a very special certificate today following their joint production of HMS Natal. She commented that the children had worked to ensure that the tragic events surrounding The Natal would be remembered through their very moving production.

Well done Team J Rock and a huge thank you to our Lord-Lieutenant.

Double win for Ava today, she took gold for 150m and for Long Jump. Superb effort!

Make sure you pack plenty of waterproofs for tomorrow athletes. Things are very very wet and the forecast is not looking good. There is a chance the event may not go ahead but we will be prepared for a wet sports just in case.
