Thank you Tracy and Eilidh who gave up their mornings to help set up our new school library. Things are beginning to take shape for the grand opening before the end of term 👍

Our newly recruited Junior Road Safety Officers attended their training day in Inverness earlier this week. We are really looking forward to hearing their ideas as to how they want to improve safety and spread the Road Safety message at Milton!   
   

The local photographer visited school today to take some photographs of the seeds which p5-7 have been caring for. 

Keep your eyes peeled in the North Star for an update on the project coming very soon! 

 Primary 6 and 7 conquered Fyrish on Thursday 19th May. They all showed positive enthusiasm and really encouraged one another to reach the top of the hill.Despite some pretty horrible rain showers and a cold wind we stopped at the top for a quick lunch and a few pictures to prove that we made it to the top. Sadly it was very foggy at the top so the view was non existent but the smiles definitely brightened up a very dull day. Hannah and Autumn had a very important meeting today to discuss the forthcoming trip to Landmark. They are both looking forward to 10th June, it’s always good to talk over a nice cup of tea 👌  

We all enjoyed learning about Malawi today.  Some very special guests popped into school to share their stories and  knowledge with us. It was really amazing to hear what life was like there and we were thinking carefully about what school life might be like for the children in Malawi. 

We are all looking forward to welcoming our guests from Malawi on Monday 13th June. We want to ensure we give them a real Highland  welcome so all suggestions  from parents and families are encouraged. 

The guests will spend a whole day at school with us, 2 of the visitors have never left Malawi before so we know it will be a very exciting time for them! 

The children have now started planning how they  can share some of their traditional songs, stories and dances with our new friends. We look forward to hearing more about their culture and traditions

Thank you to everyone who supported Superhero Day, there were some super costumes at Milton this year. 

 All donations were gratefully received and our certificate with the amount raised will be shared shortly!  

Day 1 results for Walk To School Week 🙂

Just a reminder that there will be 10 house points for each day that you walk to school. If you live a little bit further away you could always get dropped off a little bit away from school so you can participate – I wonder if each class can reach 100% by Friday?

We had a super day on Friday welcoming the Scottish Cup at Milton. The children all had the opportunity to hold the cup and ask Charlie some questions if they wished. Here are some of our P1/2’s lovely photos:
