Sports Day

So the weather forecast is not looking too great for our sports tomorrow.

If the heavy rain arrives as predicted sports will be postponed, hoping the showers are light so we can go ahead as planned.

We will post at 10am to let you know if sports is OFF. Everyone start doing the sun dance please 🌞🌞🌞

Day 1 Health Week

We started our day today with a Sugar Smart Assembly and finished up by sharing our learning and then relaxed with some Cosmic Yoga.

Reporting back to the rest of the school about the sugar content of food and drinks. We discovered some shocking truths!

Grepha, Richard and Maggie spent the day in Milton learning about our school and our daily routines. We heard about life in Malawi and it was really interesting to find out more about Ngazi Primary School. They thanked us very much for sending them £40 last year and they told us how the money helped their pupils.

Landmark Adventure Park!

Today we went on our whole school trip to Landmark!
Fun means letting your hair down, relaxing. It means letting go of your problems and worries for a short time and that’s exactly what we did today!
Play is one of the most basic of human behaviours, it’s nature’s in-built mechanism for exploring, learning about and understanding the world around us. Psychologists tell us that outdoor play is hugely important in almost every area of children’s lives, it helps to improve social skills, brain development and creativity and it supports emotional resilience, physical development, confidence and learning.

Landmark Trip

Please ensure your child arrives at school promptly at 9.00am with the following:

  • A packed lunch (unless Mairi is providing you with one then you will receive this from the teachers in the morning).
  • A waterproof jacket.
  • Suitable footwear for a woodland area, preferably wellies.
  • Sun cream applied- weather permitting.
  • A sun hat available.

It would be very helpful if pupils could wear a school colour jumper/polo shirt so they are easily identifiable in the park.

A small reminder that the pupils do not require spending money for tomorrow.

We aim to return to school by 4.00pm(ish) however please keep an eye on the blog as we will post on here when the bus is passing Inverness.

We look forward to having an excellent day with all of the pupils tomorrow 🚌🌲🎢

Posh Picnic Pics!

What a lovely day at Milton today with the Royal family joining us for lunch in the canteen. We would like to say a huge thank you to Mairi and Claire for a delicious picnic lunch. The hall looked amazing, flags and banners galore, with a delicious picnic lunch for everyone.

We couldn’t believe our eyes when a horse and cart arrived at the front door this morning. A memorable day for all!

Posh Picnic Lunch

Don’t forget to wear your best clothes tomorrow for a very posh picnic lunch. We have our fingers crossed that some of the royals may even pop in for a cuppa!
