St Andrew’s Day

Many thanks to those who were able to wear tartan today! The children heard all about the history behind this special day this morning from Mrs Sinclair. Then we had the pleasure of Owen parading around the school surprising the children with his superb piping. Thank you Owen ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank You

Many thanks to those of you who were able to attend our craft afternoon today. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. It really was lovely to have some early festive spirit in the school. Photos of you busy at work will be posted next week. Please look out for a questionnaire coming your way. We’d like some feedback so as we can continually improve our practice and as always your views are very much appreciated.

Today we had a ‘mini library opening’ where Lhayla from P6/7 was invited to officially declare the library open. She also had the privilege of turning on the Christmas lights too.

Have a lovely weekend everyone, don’t forget to check your calendars for next week! Lots going on including flu vaccinations, wearing Tartan for St Andrews Day and the parent council Christmas Craft Fayre (fliers sent home with the children yesterday).

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas…

Tomorrow is our annual Christmas craft afternoon. All parents and guardians are welcome to come to school at 1.30pm to join their children for an afternoon of fun. We ask that you report to the main reception door where a member of staff will sign you in and then direct you accordingly.

Tea and coffee will be provided following the craft afternoon in the canteen where parents will be welcome to enjoy a cuppa until their child(ren) have been dismissed by their class teacher from the back door as normal.

Do Soccer is also ON tomorrow. 3.00-3.45 for P1-3, 3.45-4.30 for P4-7.

Challenger 4 visit๐Ÿ‘

All 4 classes visited the Challenger 4 bus today. The children heard stories about Mary Slessor, The Lost Sheep and Eric Liddell to name a few. They had a fantastic time on board this purpose built bus which travels the length and breadth of the country teaching children about the  Christian faith. The children said “the bus is cool”, “I love the big tv screen and surround sound”, “they even have fancy lights”. It is fair to say they were very impressed!
