County Sports

The forecast is not looking too good for the County Sports tomorrow. As well as their sports kit it would be a good idea to pack a change of clothes and waterproofs as well. The athletes may want to bring an umbrella/warm jumper as well as their refreshments. Better to have too many layers than not enough! Let’s hope the sun shines for everyone. Good Luck for tomorrow team Milton!

Staffing News

Today at school we held a short assembly to talk to the children about changes in staffing at Milton next session. The official staffing letter will be with you when you receive your child’s end of year report in a couple of weeks.

We are very sad to say that we are losing Miss Bruce next session. We are equally excited for her as she was successful in gaining a teaching post in Glasgow.

Change is a tricky time for everyone but please be assured all staff work hard to support all children as they prepare to transition into their new classes.

Staffing next year will be as follows:

Early Level Class/Primary 1 – Mrs Christie & Mrs Martin

Primary 2/3 – Miss Robinson

Primary 4/5 – Ms Brewer and a newly qualified teacher (name to be confirmed)

Primary 6/7 – Miss Cross (currently works in Southlodge Primary)

If you have any further questions about next session please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards,

Mrs Sinclair

Milton Mini Mudder 2018

The Milton Mini Mudder was a big hit, plenty of water involved. It involved teamwork, determination and concentration!

We just love this picture of Josh – the most determined face captured on Thursday!

After our sharing assembly yesterday the Milton Marathon was launched. Everyone that runs/walks/jogs 26.2 miles by the end of term will receive a medal. Remember we need to see those score cards completed! It was great to see our strong runners out on the field working as encouragers yesterday to ensure everyone completed their first mile. Well done to all of the adults that joined in.

It has been a busy week, 4 more action packed weeks left until the end of term.

Remember the school is closed to pupils on Monday as it is a staff in service training day.

The Great Plastic Pick Up

A very busy afternoon in Milton today. The children were working their socks off being the change they want to see in the world – A CLEANER and SAFER place for all!

Amazing but scary facts were shared during assembly today, we couldn’t believe that plastic waste (if left) will NEVER disappear!

A large amount of rubbish was picked up but on a positive note there was a marked improvement since our last litter pick and the village is looking super clean and tidy.

Keep working hard to reduce, reuse and recycle everyone.

Super proud of our children today.

A huge thank you to the litter picking parents who showed their support this afternoon too.
