A note from the cook…
Please always check the lunch menu with your child. We had a few children telling us that they didn’t like what was on the menu today. My job is to keep everyone happy and well fed so please make sure you know the options or send them in with a packed lunch to enjoy.
Thank you.
After School Football

Many thanks for you understanding.
Back to School Disco
Hello All,
I understand there’s been a bit of confusion with regard to the ‘Back to School Disco’ leaflet that was sent home yesterday. This disco will take place tonight at Tain Youth Cafe and not at Milton Primary School. I understand the venue was not included on the flier.
Apologies for any confusion caused and please spread the word!
Many thanks and happy weekend 🙂
After School Clubs
Hello all,
Just to confirm that Art Club and Games Club are for our Primary 4-7 children this term.
Next term, these clubs will be for Primary 1-3 children.
Please spread the word in case anyone is unsure as I know the calendar doesn’t state an age group for Games Club.
Thank you.
Please come along to The Mercat this Friday at 2.00pm when our family learning sessions will be launched. If you want to find out more about how to support your child at home and enhance their literacy skills then this class is for you!
There is now an AHP advice line been set up for parents, carers, EYPs, teachers, other professionals to contact for those “pre-referral” conversations. It is an opportunity for people to get in touch with their concerns and gives them an opportunity to have a chat with different AHP professionals. This advice line in every Tuesday afternoon between 2-5 and the number is 07785477686.

Tuesday Reminders
Time to look out those library books that have been lurking in the shelves all Summer as tomorrow is our first library van visit of 2018-19.
A huge thank you to the Primary 1 parents who all returned their membership forms, either before the holidays or, today. I have some spare ones copied and ready if you have not already completed one for your child and are able to pop in, in the morning.
It’s P.E for all classes tomorrow too with Mr MacIver. Dont forget to remind your child to pack their P.E kit if they didnt already leave it in school today.
Mrs Sutherland had a lonely art club today. If your child would like to attend art club each Monday from 3.00-4.00 – please ensure they collect a permission slip from school ahead of the club next week.
Youth club starts tomorrow too. Please ensure your child knows they will be attending as a youth club leader will be coming to collect them from school at 3.00pm.
Many thanks and Happy Monday!
New Class Blogs
Mrs Sinclair spoke on Thursday at our ‘Meet the Teacher’ event about our intention to use class blogs as our main communication tool for class news, reminders and details of homework tasks.
Last year, a spot check carried out by Mrs Sinclair proved that homework diaries were not being used consistently across the school, therefore, this year we intend to trial using our class blogs to post important messages and reminders etc.
Please ensure you have signed up to your child’s class blog so you don’t miss anything. Click below to follow the link and an option to follow the blog should appear in the bottom right corner.

Nursery & Primary 1 ParentsÂ
Tomorrow (Monday) the Early Level Class will have their first Little Dribblers session. The class will run each Monday at 11.00am for 6 weeks and will be led by coaches from Ross County.
Please ensure your child has their P.E kit with them. The children will have access to water in Nursery and School  but you may wish to provide them with a water bottle too.
Wednesday will be our first woods trip. Please ensure you have signed and returned the permission slip distributed on Friday. If we havent received this by Wednesday morning at the very latest your child will not be able to come.
Primary 1 parents – don’t forget your child will be attending school from 9.00-3.00 as from tomorrow. Its week 1 for menu choices so please make sure your child knows what they are having for lunch so we can record this first thing.
On Tuesday the library van will visit. If you have not already returned your child’s membership form then I’d encourage you to speak to myself, or Mrs Nimmons, tomorrow as this means your child may be able to borrow from Tuesday.
I hope you all had a restful weekend. See you in the morning,
Mrs Christie 😊
