It was lovely to have the Nursery and Primary 1/2 together yesterday to discuss how to be safe near the road. We got together as a group and discussed what we already knew about how to be safe on the road. Answers included ‘Walking on the pavement, Stopping, looking and listening when you need to cross and not playing on the road.’
We moved on to discuss how to be safe at night time and discussed items such as torches, head torches and reflector jackets. We also explored the role of a Lollipop lady or gentleman even though we don’t have one at Milton.
In class we then had fun making our own lollipops and zebra crossings. We also visited our very own zebra crossing and practised crossing safely using what we learned during our discussion.
